杏MAP导航 invites Curia to organize private Lenten Spiritual Exercises

The annual Lenten retreat for the Roman Curia is scheduled for 21 鈥� 26 February 2021. This year, however, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, those normally invited to take part will not be able to gather together in person.
鈥淕iven the persistence of the current health emergency,鈥� the Holy See Press Office said in a statement on Wednesday, 鈥渢his year it will not be possible to have the Spiritual Exercises of the Roman Curia communally at the Casa Divin Maestro in Ariccia.鈥�
杏MAP导航 Francis, therefore, has invited the Heads of Dicasteries and the Superiors of the Roman Curia to 鈥渕ake their own arrangements, withdrawing in prayer鈥� during the first week of Lent.
During the period of the Spiritual Exercises, all of the Holy Father鈥檚 engagements, including the General Audience on Wednesday 24 February, are suspended.
