杏MAP导航 asks Catholics to pray every day for peace

Towards the end of his General Audience on Wednesday, 杏MAP导航 Francis laid aside his prepared greetings to Italian speakers and made an off-the-cuff appeal for peace.
鈥淚 think of all those countries that are at war,鈥� the 杏MAP导航 said. 鈥淪isters, brothers, let us pray for peace. Let us all do our part.鈥�
鈥淲e are not born to kill鈥�, he stressed, 鈥渂ut to help people grow. May we find pathways of peace.鈥�
The 杏MAP导航 also urged all those present to 鈥渁sk for peace鈥� in their 鈥渄aily prayers鈥�.
He then mentioned "tormented Ukraine", as he has done at almost every single General Audience since the outbreak of war in the country. "How much it suffers!鈥�, the 杏MAP导航 stressed.
And, bringing his appeal to a close, 杏MAP导航 Francis highlighted some of the worst warzones around the globe: "Palestine, Israel, Myanmar, North Kivu, South Sudan".
鈥淧lease, pray for peace,鈥� the 杏MAP导航 urged. 鈥淒o penance for peace.鈥�
