杏MAP导航 Francis meets with President Vella of Malta

The President of Malta, George Vella, met with 杏MAP导航 Francis on Thursday in the Vatican鈥檚 Apostolic Palace.
Their encounter lasted just over an hour, with the 杏MAP导航 and the President exchanging gifts.
杏MAP导航 Francis gave President Vella a bronze sculpture entitled 鈥淚ntergenerational Dialogue,鈥� as well as a book of his papal magisterium.
The President reciprocated with six All-in-One PCs destined for the Mother of Mercy Clinic, a medical centre set up in St. Peter鈥檚 Square that serves people facing financial difficulties.
The 杏MAP导航 made an Apostolic Journey to Malta on April 2-3, 2022, visiting the capital, Valletta, as well as Rabat, Floriana, and the island of Gozo.
鈥楥ordial鈥� talks in Secretariat of State
According to the Holy See Press Office, President Vella met afterwards with Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin and Msgr. Wachowski Miros艂aw Stanis艂aw, UnderSecretary for Relations with States.
The talks in the Secretariat of State were 鈥渃ordial鈥� and touched on the good relations between the Holy See and the Republic of Malta.
鈥淎ttention then turned to various issues of an international nature, with particular attention to the Mediterranean region, the conflicts in Israel and Palestine and in Ukraine, and migration,鈥� said the press release.
