杏MAP导航 Francis sends condolences for death of Namibian President Geingob

杏MAP导航 Francis has recalled President Hage Geingob鈥檚 鈥測ears of dedicated public service鈥� in a telegram sent following the 82-year-old Namibian leader鈥檚 death last week.
Geingob died on Sunday, 4 February, just three weeks after his office announced that he would be undergoing treatment for cancer.
In his telegram, addressed to Geingob鈥檚 successor, Nangolo Mbumba, 杏MAP导航 Francis extended his condolences and his prayers to Geingob鈥檚 family, the government, and the Namibian people.
The Holy Father concluded his telegram by commending the soul of the late president 鈥渢o the mercy of Almighty God鈥� and 鈥渋nvoking upon the nation divine blessings of consolation and peace.鈥�
