In a message to the Women鈥檚 Consultation Group of the Pontifical Council for Culture, 杏MAP导航 Francis noted that 鈥淔or the first time, a Dicastery has involved a group of women by making them protagonists in developing cultural projects and approaches, and not simply to deal with women鈥檚 issues鈥�.  Your gathering, he said, highlights 鈥渢he novelty that you represent in the Roman Curia.鈥�

Working together in mutual respect

The Consultation, made up of 鈥渨omen engaged in different sectors of the life of society鈥�, received a message from the 杏MAP导航 on Thursday on the occasion of the seminar 鈥淲omen Read 杏MAP导航 Francis: Reading, Reflection and Music鈥�, a series of meetings that now begins with the theme 鈥淓vangelii Gaudium鈥�. 鈥淗owever different鈥� your visions may be, said the 杏MAP导航, you 鈥渃onverge on the goal of working together in mutual respect."

For their reading programme the Consultation have chosen three of 杏MAP导航 Francis鈥� writings: the Apostolic Exhortation Evangelii gaudium, the Encyclical Letter Laudato si鈥� ,and the Document on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together.

杏MAP导航 Francis noted that these three choices are significant, as all three are devoted, respectively, 鈥渢o the themes of evangelization, creation and fraternity鈥�, therefore reflecting 鈥渋n the spirit of the Consultation Group, a rich diversity striving to seek areas of agreement and fellowship in dialogue鈥�.

Intellect and spirituality

鈥淵our aim in this gathering is to create a dialogue between intellect and spirituality, between unity and diversity, between music and liturgy, with one fundamental goal, that of universal friendship and trust. You do this with a feminine voice that desires to help heal an ailing world鈥�, said the 杏MAP导航.

He then went on to note than in the history of salvation 鈥渋t was a woman who welcomed God鈥檚 word鈥�. Women are the 鈥減rotagonists鈥� of a Church that goes forth as they listen and care for the needs of others 鈥渃apable of fostering true processes of justice鈥�.

Inspire hope

Finally, 杏MAP导航 Francis said 鈥淚 encourage you, then to be bearers of a message of peace and renewal.  To be a presence that, with humility and courage, is able to understand and welcome newness and inspire the hope of a more fraternal world.鈥�
