May 8 marks the Feast Day of Our Lady of Luján. Prior to this date, 杏MAP导航 Francis wrote a letter to Archbishop Jorge Scheinig of Luján. The 杏MAP导航 assures the Archbishop that his 鈥渉eart travels to Luján鈥� for this celebration.

The city of Luján is located some 70 kilometres northwest of the city of Buenos Aires, Argentina. 杏MAP导航 Francis was the Archbishop of Buenos Aires from 28 February 1998 until his election to the papacy on 13 March 2013.

Gaze upon Our Lady

In the letter dated 4 May, 杏MAP导航 Francis writes that he will be in Luján 鈥渟辫颈谤颈迟耻补濒濒测鈥�&苍产蝉辫;to visit Our Lady. There, he says, 鈥淚 will gaze upon her once more and, once again, I will let her look at me with that motherly gaze that renews you, takes care of you, gives you strength鈥�.

The 杏MAP导航 adds that, in doing so, he knows he will not be alone, 鈥渂ut together with the holy, faithful people of God who love her so much, a faithful and sinful people like me鈥�.

杏MAP导航 Francis then writes that he, along with the faithful, will tell Our Lady of their 鈥渨orries鈥� and their 鈥渏oys鈥�.

Grace of forgiveness

Finally, the 杏MAP导航 writes that he will 鈥渁sk her to take care of us鈥�.

He added that 鈥渂ecause I am a sinner, I will ask her to give us grace to always ask for forgiveness, to not tire of asking for forgiveness... because we know that Her Son never gets tired of forgiving鈥�.
