杏MAP导航鈥檚 Christmas season schedule

Monsignor Guido Marini, the Master of the Pontifical Liturgical Celebrations has issued the following schedule of the 杏MAP导航鈥檚 liturgical celebrations this Christmas Season:

    ° Tuesday, December 24, 2019, 09.30 pm: Christmas Eve Mass in St. Peter鈥檚 Basilica

    ° Wednesday, December 25, 2019, 12.00 pm:  Christmas message and blessing 鈥 Urbi  et Orbi鈥 from the  central balcony of St. Peter鈥檚 Basilica

    ° Tuesday, December 31, 2019, 05.00 pm: First Vespers of the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God, followed by the exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, the traditional singing of 鈥淭e Deum鈥 in thanksgiving for the concluding year 2019, and the Eucharistic blessing.

    ° Wednesday, January 1, 2020, 10.00 am:  New Year Day Mass of the Solemnity of Mary the Mother of God in St. Peter鈥檚 Basilica.  World Day of Peace.

    ° Monday, January 06, 2020, 10.00 am: Mass of the Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord in St. Peter鈥檚 Basilica.

Christmas Season begins with the Christmas Eve Mass and concludes with the feast of the Baptism of the Lord, which in 2020 falls on January 12.  The Holy Father marks the occasion by baptizing babies during a Holy Mass in the Vatican鈥檚 famed Sistine Chapel. (All are local timings)
