Highlights of ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ Francis’ Apostolic Journey to Mauritius

Here is video footage of some of the best moments from ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ Francis’ one-day visit to Mauritius.

ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ Francis had an intense day in Mauritius on Monday.

He flew from Madagascar to Port Louis, the capital of the island nation in the Indian Ocean, where he was welcomed by Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and the nation's Catholic Bishops.

The ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ went immediately to the Mary Queen of Peace Monument to celebrate Mass for around 100,000 of the faithful.

After lunch with Indian Ocean Bishops, ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ Francis prayed at the tomb of Blessed Father Laval, known as the Apostle of Mauritius.

His last event was a meeting with the nations' authorities, representatives of civil society, and the diplomatic corps.

The ÐÓMAPµ¼º½ then boarded the papal plane and returned to Antananarivo, Madagascar, to stay the night before returning to Rome on Tuesday.
