杏MAP导航 to Abramo Community: Be evangelisers, trust in God
鈥淵ou carry a challenging name鈥�, said 杏MAP导航 Francis when addressing members of the Abramo Community - in Rome to celebrate 30 years since their foundation. 鈥淎bramo鈥�, Italian for 鈥淎braham鈥�, inspires the path to evangelisation that 鈥測ou are called to carry out鈥� he said.
Do not be afraid to be inspired by the great Patriarch Abraham, continued the 杏MAP导航. May his life and actions teach each member 鈥渇irst of all, to obey the call of the Lord鈥�.
The presence of the Lord
杏MAP导航 Francis went on to explain that it does not matter 鈥渉ow and under what circumstances the Lord is present in your life鈥� because 鈥淗e alone knows the places and the times in which to meet each individual鈥�.
The silence of listening
The 杏MAP导航 stressed the importance of listening to the Lord. The 鈥渟ilence of listening鈥�, he said, is necessary in order to 鈥減erceive鈥� His word.
It is important to find 鈥渕oments of true silence in your life; this is the secret to being able to listen to God speaking,鈥� said the 杏MAP导航.
To be evangelisers
Abraham鈥檚 faith, said 杏MAP导航 Francis, 鈥渓eads him to leave his land and his home鈥� and head to a place that, despite it being unknown to him, 鈥渋s guaranteed by God鈥檚 promise鈥�.
鈥淭o be evangelisers鈥� said 杏MAP导航 Francis, one must do as Abraham did and 鈥渢rust in God鈥�. It is important to 鈥済o out to meet those whom the Lord places on our way鈥�, he said.
Beyond human expectations
鈥淎braham's faith was fruitful beyond all human expectations鈥�, concluded 杏MAP导航 Francis. 鈥淎nd, it saw its fulfillment in Jesus, through a humble daughter of Abraham, the Virgin Mary鈥�, he said.
Finally, the 杏MAP导航 urged all the members of the Abramo community to 鈥済o forward, in faith and charity, especially towards those who are most marginalized and poor, always trusting in God's promise鈥�.
