杏MAP导航 recalls late Cardinal Pimiento’s work for peace and common

In a telegram to Archbishop Gonzalo Restrepo Restrepo of Manizales, Colombia, 杏MAP导航 Francis recalled Cardinal Pimiento as a “centennial pastor who gave his life to God and to the Church, working courageously for peace and the common good”.
Writing from Maputo, Mozambique, where he is on an apostolic visit, the 杏MAP导航 said he received with “sorrow” the news of the death of Cardinal Pimiento. He expressed his “feeling of regret” to Archbishop Restrepo, to the late cardinal’s relatives and the faithful of the Archdiocese of Manizales.
The Holy Father said he offers prayers for the eternal repose of the soul of the late cardinal, “so that the Lord Jesus may grant him entry into the eternal abode”.
