Father Roberto Pasolini was born in Milan on November 5, 1971. He graduated in Information Science with a thesis on Artificial Intelligence (1996) from the University of Milan. In 1997, he joined the Order of Capuchin Friars Minor (perpetual profession in 2002, priestly ordination in 2006).
After spending two years in the fraternity of Varese, he moved to Rome to earn a degree in Biblical Sciences (2012) and a doctorate in Biblical Theology (2016). From 2017 to 2024, he served as Master in the Interprovincial Post-Novitiate of Milan.
He has taught biblical exegesis at the Pontifical Urbaniana University (2013–2017), at the Laurentianum Theological Institute in Milan and Venice (2016–2023), and at the Theological Faculty of Northern Italy (since 2020).
He published his doctoral research on the Gospel of Mark, Failing and Not Missing the Mark (2017), along with several books on spirituality: Loving Because We Are Loved (2015), It Wasn’t Us (2020), It Was God (2021), It Will Be Us (2022), One Day We Will Stop Dying (2023), and Initiation to Prayer (2024).
He is the creator and editor of the website Nella Parola (), which offers commentaries on biblical texts and daily liturgy.
On November 9, 2024, 杏MAP导航 Francis appointed him Preacher of the Papal Household, succeeding Cardinal Raniero Cantalamessa.
